What is a synonymous word for this phrase?

I need a word that encompasses being "too small to consider". "Insignificant" sounds condescending, and "minute" constitutes being "too small" but not necessarily "too small to consider".

Any suggestions?

@battlecry12,
Negligible, but that's not much different than insignificant.

@roger,
Thank you! I decided to go with "peripheral". It doesn't undermine importance, but it distances relevancy. Thanks again Roger!

Pardon my picayune impertinence but your comprehension of the word peripheral is nugatory.

Peripheral: concerned with relatively minor, irrelevant, or superficial aspects of the subject in question.
