Hi...I was reading an article about cesaerean section .It was a stort , I came across this sentence which I couldnt figure out what does it mean.
they did a further examination to find that the baby was Posterior, sunny side up, back to back,
Hi navigator,
Sounds like the baby was planning to come out upside down, butt first, which would have been the reason to do a cesarean section. Ideally, for the safety of both mother and child, the baby should come out head first and facing the ceiling.
Posterior is when the baby comes out head first but facing the floor. My daughter was born this way and let me tell you they do not exit easily.
The doctor had to use forceps and as he did, she was sooooo stuck he was pulling me off the table slightly (startled, i grabbed the edge of the table for security) as he yanked her with the forceps.
There you go. :-)
