Why don't you read at least the front page of any morning paper before challenging the validity of what even at this early hour should be common knowledge. Oops, I bet I know what it is. Drudge, Fox or Rev. Moon probably hasn't covered it yet.
Remind me not to read or respond to any more of your posts. I find your attitude quite obnoxious!
Looks like I struck a nerve. Striking nerves is one of my best skills. BTW in the interest of truth, I will admit the story is not as widespread in the Mainstream Corporate Media as I had thought.
PS reminder: Ignore my posts, Bush has decided to seek a second term.
Quote:The next four years will be peaceful years, prosperous years, and hopeful years for everybody fortunate to be a citizen of this great country...
Er...umm....uh....Mr. President, when are the troops coming home?
I'm not surprised. bush speaks newspeak. "War Is Peace".
Also we have the sex police.
Actually, Bush said, "I want to be the PIECE President". As in a piece of Iraq, a piece of Afghanistan, a piece of Iran, a piece of...
"Peace president"?
PEACE PRESIDENT?
AAAHAHAHA!
Oh stop... yer killin' me!
Absolutely remarkable. This man is something else.
This coming from the same person who said "I'm a war president! I make decisions with war on my mind!"
Anyway, here's the link for those of you who are wondering. Doesn't exactly quote him (just paraphrases), but its from the speech where he made the statement.

Thanks for the link Justan.
I really appreciate not having to search around the web to see if other's statements are legitimate. Particularly because the cost of having the NY Times delivered in a timely manner to me in Vancouver, Canada would be fairly high. People like you make my A2K experience so much better.
While I likely have the same opinion of Bush as you have, Harper, I can only agree with Phoenix in that you ought to have provided a link in your first post. Or at least responded by posting a link early instead of arguing about it.
That others have not done so is not a good reason.
Also I don't see why it's necessary to post multiple posts in a row when it can be done in a single post. Nothing personal, it just happened to be you who did it this time.

The topic?
Pretty words can blind people from the reality, so trying to become known as the "Peace President" is not a surprising twist, though it is a mindboggling insult to all people who hasn't been in a coma during his presidency.
For those interested in government manipulation I recommend Noam Chomsky. Even those who don't agree with him can learn from a reading.
Eh, no biggie. A little "CNN / BBC / Reuters" site search works wonders.
And yeah... posting a link is pretty much mandatory in this forum
