@George,
George and I are in agreement. Lightning is trying to make good his promise of doing a lot better this year than he did last year.

@CoastalRat,
It is still early in the season but I would have to say it is way better than last year so far!

@panzade,
The teams! It was the teams! Or, maybe it was the coaches and general managers and some owners, some bit more than the players.

Here's a QB change of interest:
Matt Cassel traded to the Cowboys, according to report

@ossobuco,
Same here. Tough matches galore..like Skins and Giants... these two are both damaged goods.

Raiders and Browns are a coin flip.
Cowboys and Falcons...who knows what Weedon can do as replacement for Romo. Not an awful history..but not electrifying. Plus the acquisition of Cassel. Doubt that his will strike fear in any team's hearts.

Bengals and Ravens could go either way.
Eagles and Jets....no idea what the personality is of the Jets. Eagles are having some bad performances which needs a 'statement' game. Could that happen against the Jets with Reevis on the prowl?

Most of these teams are still getting tons of penalties and teams not in synch yet, plus all of these insane injuries to QB and key players..makes the shifting around hard to figure.

I just heard that NO QB Brees will sit due to rotator cuff issues. McCowan will do QB duties. Wonder if that'll help Saints slide?

@Ragman,
Yes, true, yet another injury bummer.

Which reminds me, I saw a headline that the Romo clavicle break may have been from a dirty hit, but then I never got back to the article, wherever I saw it, to read it, so could just be news noise.

Just looked it up, it was on SI Fansided, and was laughed at within the article, so NEVER MIND.

@ossobuco,
yeah..talking head sports guru blah-blah. Romo's injury is to the same clavicle that had broken broken before. The projection is that he'll be back for Game 11 but that could be optimistic.
