@ehBeth,
Sorry! Thanks for the reminder. I'm mostly offline this week. I'll take all of the home teams and a loss for last night if that's ok.

@Ragman,
Speaking of stretching the field, re a field stretcher:

I spent half the game trying to find out if Kelce was hurt (he's on my fantasy team, did very very well last week). This week, for a lot of the game, he only had 2 points.

Nothin' about that on that mediocre gamecast thing I look at. Nothin' I could find at the usually chatty Bleacher Report. Nothin' the several times I looked at google.

Turns out that RotoWorld remarked on it today -

Advice: Why Kelce only drew five targets is beyond us. "Zeus" was a freight train with the ball in his hands, but coach Andy Reid couldn't scheme him the rock. Playmakers of Kelce's caliber should never be getting only five looks, but so is life under Reid. Expect Kelce to have a bigger game in Week 3 against the Packers, who struggled to contain Martellus Bennett last Sunday. Kelce is a weekly top-three option at tight end.

@George,
Yeah. I chickened out. But the other RB last week was pretty good.

Tell you what - I'll drive you crazy and ask you to put me back as for the Bills.

That'll secure NE's win.

Sorry for being a ditz.

Ah, a coherent strategy. I love it.

You're in.

As they say in golf, that' s not a drive, that's a short putt.

I have returned you to Rex's good graces.

@George,
Certainly not a hole in one.

I've done that once, at a pitch and putt course/Rancho Park. The problem was, my club missed the ball entirely on the first swing. My dad and uncle gave the One to me anyway.

I thought Manning was washed up. New coach Kubiak took over play calling and what not.
And then Peyton conjures up this miracle and I'm 0-1 this week
Sheesh!

@panzade,
I'd like to know what happened. I didn't watch/read right away so I didn't see if he started with the shotgun formation this time, if it was a renewed plan, or if that was after a starting bad stretch and Manning took over both for formation and calls. I bet this is discussed somewhere.

So, I'm glad he was suddenly his old sharp self.

Andy Reid has a prolific history of game management gaffes
Quote:
Something happens to Reid in the final five minutes of halves. It’s like his brain freezes, or maybe it subconsciously defaults to doing whatever might be considered the worse course of action at that moment.

Going into the weekend, we still need Pan's picks for the weekend games. Also, McGentrix missed picking the Tenn-Cleveland game, unless I am mistaken.

I assumed "Tennessee at Cleveland" meant he was picking the Titans. Bad
assumption.

@Ragman,
Have you considered TAFL (teaching American as a foreign language)? You lost me after 'To state the obvious' !

The Panzade is still checking his crystal ball.
Perhaps by 11 am Sunday.

@panzade,
Yeh, I remember the writer I was reading (where?) on the play by play at the end of the first half said something expecting that Kansas would cool it till the end of the half. Just like the yahoo writer's comment, not expecting Reid's call for runs over a few seconds, which elicited trouble and a score for Denver.

@lmur,
I re-read what I wrote..and, frankly, not sure what confuses you. Occasionally, I can be a little cryptic so I'd like to help you out but I'm not grasping what confuses you.

In fact, I received a reply which indicates that person was following me. Are you not understanding the sports terminology. I sort of recall you're sports savvy is pretty high.

@Ragman,
I apologise. Was aiming for flippancy and certainly didn't mean to insult or belittle your input.

I've re-read what you wrote and grasp the majority of it. What does keeping someone in the shotgun mean?
