In American English, is it correct to pronounce
-driven
as
/ˈdraɪvn/
?

There are millions of people in the US; even if we only consider native Americans, there are still many of them, so I'm not sure how great the difference might be in pronunciation between Americans. In UK English, I watch some videos featuring people using special pronunciations, like pronouncing 'nerve' as 'narve' or 'neve', which makes me think dictionaries are not so reliable.

@WBYeats,

I'll answer for the British:

DRIVVin; DRIV'n

I don't think it's too different over there.

The "i" is pronounced the same as "it" or "give"

The "ven" complicates the sound.

@McTag,
Thank you PUNKEY; but for McTag:

Do you mean for 'driven', only /ˈdrɪvn/ is correct and the /ai/ sound would be wrong? (because you are using normal letters but not phonetic symbols; quite hard to figure out)
