So why is my translation,
Nos omnes in manibus Dei sumus , different?
1. Word order in Latin is far less important than in English, but usually the
verb, in this case
sumus, is at the end of the sentence.
2.
Sumus means "we are" and the specific pronoun "we" (
nos) may be omitted.
I included it for clarity.
