After we actually had the sex, his body language wasn't off. He was his normal self, and texted me the next day, yet our conversations are getting shorter and I haven't heard from him in 2 days.

Just ask him. No value in guessing unless you like to torture yourself that way.

We always desire most whatever we don't have. Once we get it we want something else. If all the texts were flirty and begging to get together and have sex, then now that that's been done there isn't as much to text about.
Sex without mutual emotional involvement is a wasteland. I hate to be preachy but the Bible does not prohibit extra marital sex to deny our happiness but to provide it.
This is not your partner, simply from word definitions.
Look up the word partner - I take it you use it as wishful thinking.
