I have always had a fascination with all things medical, and this site is no exception. It is the "Virtual Autopsy". Participants are given a number of scenarios, and have to determine the cause of death of a person. Choices are given, so you don't have to be THAT knowledgable:
Link to the "Virtual Autopsy Site".
I have done a couple already, and I'm getting them right!
Man, I'm good at this! 3 for 3!
Moving this to heath. Please post links that don't fall under any of the categories to the internet forum.
What a fascinating little site you found there
my dear.... I'll have to check it out later on
when time permits.
Hmm, the site is great! By the way, I managed to find correct reasons of death in 14 cases out of 18 (well, I am a combat medic in the reserve service, but we deal mainly with injuries, and not wiht diseases).
Many med schools teach "virtual anatomy" today, and thus don't need human bodies for dissection.
Virtual anatomy may be good for basic training of future doctors. But I would not like to be a patient of a surgeon that has never dissected a real human body while being a student. If I agree, I will be a substitute of the corpse he has never dissected before.
How about virtual dentistry?
If the toothache were virtual, such a dentistry would be a good thing.
How about studying dentistry online?
BUZzzzzzzzzzz!!
And to get lost after having got a diploma and seeing the first time some real mouth with real decay and natural foul smell?
