Hi, I was wondering if someone could please translate the following phrase into Latin for me?

"Too young to sin but not to suffer"

Thanks in advance!

*bump*

It's for a headstone, if anyone can translate I'd greatly appreciate it.

jeez, that's serious. Here's one:

iunior quam qui peccat at non fert dolorem

but I'll see if there's a shorter way & get back to you today.

Thanks EOS - I've been hovering here all day hoping you'd reply (seen some of your other posts). I was going to PM you, but given the nature of it I didn't want to pressure anyone into volunteering!

Again, thank you.

ok, here's shorter:

innocentia nimia peccare atqui dolet.

Any chance you could provide a literal English translation for them?

I get for the last one:
"too innocent to do wrong yet he feels pain"

Is that a 'he' above? Unfortunately, it's for twin girls.

Thanks again Eos.

ok, change dolet to the plural 'they' - and let's make it past tense, too:

innocentia nimia peccare atqui dolebant.

"iunior quam qui peccat at non fert dolorem" is another way to express the sense of our word "too" - here it's literally "younger than he/she that sins yet not he/she who bears pain" --but of course no one would translate it that way.
