As far as the OP:
Quote:
Why do scientist Believe the brain is functional?
Because without it there is no function.

All we really need is memory of what, who, why, and how, and our feelings.

Down playing the photographic facts, all pink brain slices, doesn't make the question go away.

You also need a capacity to interpret your memories, to draw lessons from them. Otherwise they are useless. Feelings may be one way to do that, but not the only one. Logic is another. In any case, even our memories and our feelings are functional.

Dateline, Washington:

In a test study, 100 subjects had their brains removed and were asked a series of questions. None were answered. The study results have been sent to the prosecuting attorney for further evaluation.

In a related story, 100 new government jobs have been created. . .

We may disagree on empty skull results, but not on actual pink brain slices.

@Rickoshay75,
Why the obsession with the "pink slices"? Would you discard the liver as functional because it can be cut into slices?

@Rickoshay75,
I am sorry to have not taken your question seriously.
So, seriously, now.
What do you mean by functional?
