What would happen to a young adult who spent several weeks watching more than ten hours of tv per day?
Would their brain atrophy? What would happen to life expectancy? Memory?

That's not so different than an office worker sitting in front on a computer for 10 hours. It really depends on what they are doing with rest of their day. If you are getting exercise and eating right you're probably fine, if you are sedentary that is going to be of concern.

As far as your brain atrophying, I'd say a lot of it depends on what you're watching. For example, Family Feud vs Jeopardy.
