@edgarblythe,
Last spring I bought one of these huge bbq units with a smoke box attached to a wood fuel grille box and a gas firebox on the right side. It is a beauty. However, after I bought it an set it up along a patio wall, A CAROLINA WREN family moved in, rearranged the futniture and built a palatial nest in the wood firebox. My wife, its all her idea, didnt allow me to move it or even cover it with its thick Goretex cover. Well, the birds had climed the damned thing all summer and all my cooking and smoking of meats had to be done over the WEBER unit that I bought the new one to replace.Ole Ernie down in he woods who owns the lot along our woods edge was gonn get the eber. (He keeps reminding me of it and Im telling him about the birds and he says SO?
Im hoping the wrens move out and head south (or whtver the hell they do in Carolina) for the winter. Pisses me off that a bird can hold up festivities and BBQ ribs and other smokey meats.
They are feisty little pricks
