I'm not really sure if this is the right place to post this kind of question but..
Recently I read this book about Elizabeth Bathory, she was an Hungarian Countess who they said tortured her young female servants. So I became curious of what kind of mental disorder she might have suffered from to cause her to enjoy torturing and killing.
I think she might have been a psychopath or a sadist but I'm not sure if this is correct because they said she loved her children and I read somewhere that Psychopath are not capable of loving only feigning it, is this true can a sadist/psychopath person not feel love?
Thank you in advance!
I think she had multiple "mental illnesses". Of course she is not available for an in-person diagnosis but based on her methods of torture and her personality it is possible that she had antisocial personality disorder; narcissistic personality disorder; she was a sociopath; she was a sexual sadist.
