I went to a wells fargo branch this tuesday and was helped by this cute guy there. i've visited different branches before (it was my 1st time at this one) and usually go in there, do my business and leave. this time around, i really had a pleasant conversation with the personal banker who was assisting me.it got a bit personal but nothing unprofessional from both sides. we talked about his dog, where he was from. we talked about me and what i did for work. what we did for fun. it felt like we were out on a date at one point. when he was done helping me, he gave me his business card and said to call or stop by if i ever needed anything (what else would i need?) i left and gave him the peace sign. again, no banker has ever been so nice or given me their business card which i dont find unusual either way. some people are just nice...right? he stayed in my mind for a while i didnt make much of what had happened.
this morning, i got a missed call and a voice mail from wells fargo. it was him. he said he was calling to follow up on my last visit and to feel free to call him back. i did a few hrs later and i wasnt sure what to say but i did thank him for following up on me and then he said "no problem, if u ever need anything feel free to call or stop by." i said thank u and hang up.
does this mean anything or is it normal protocol. again, its never happened. maybe he's trying to win some sort of employee of the month prize or something. what do u guys think?
@alex0kat,
Well, he certainly seems to be going the extra mile, doesn't he? I doubt he's this helpful to every customer.
@alex0kat,
Hate to burst your bubble but it was his version of good customer relations plus a slow day at the bank. Was it normal protocol? No.
Was he a teller behind the counter or did he help you in his office with a more complicated banking issue?
If he was just a teller, I'd say what he did was inappropriate. Where did he get your phone number?
@PUNKEY,
no. he's a personal banker and took me to his cubicle.
before i left he had me write my email and phone number just to verified it matched my records.
