Hello all,
I am currently having some trouble with this sentence; maybe someone can shed some light?

"Imperator, qui puerum nec stultum nec mendacem esse scivit, annuity"

The qui phrase in particular, and the "annuity" word--what part of speech is it?

Thanks.

@kaibil234,
The emperor, who knew the boy to be neither a fool nor a liar, [annuity]

As far as I know, "annuity" is not a Latin word.

This sounds like an excerpt from a Latin translation of "The Emperor's New
Clothes".

@George,
Thanks George! And yes, it is from "The Emperor's New Clothes."
