If you don't remember Stiller and Meara, maybe you know who Ben Stiller is. Anne Meara is Ben Stiller's mother. She and her husband Jerry Stiller had a great act that started in 1954, Jerry Stiller later played George Contanza'sdad on Seinfeld. Anne Meara was an actress, comedian and very gifted. She died at age 85, very funny and talented lady. Jerry and Anne were married for 61 years, I think thats a lovely tribute to marriage. Rest in peace Anne.
I was a fan of Anne and her husband. Lots of years of great memories.

I remember watching Stiller and Meara on various variety shows and they would have fake arguments to entertain the audience. Their act was so unique at the time, I don't know if today's audience would understand the humor.

I used to love to watch them on Ed Sullivan Show. In the '70s, they used to be on ads to sell Blue Nun (yuck). I saw Ann on many TV sit-coms in the '70s, too. She was a great one. May she RIP.
She played Jerry Stiller's love interest on some episodes of The King of Queens sitcom, not that long ago.
Stiller and Meara cracked me up, back in the day.
