Its amazing how many of these old treasures are popping up. I found some interesting clips on YouTube and by goggling. I love the sparkle from the sequins on the dress, they used this technique in many old films, it gives the women a dollop of glamour. I miss the glamour.

For many Americans it is never boring, regardless of the number of times the air show is seen. Actually, it is breathtaking each and every time. But, who am I to pontificate; I mist up with a smile every time I see an American flag.

The actual benefit of the Thunderbirds or Blue Angles performing is that some young person sees them and then might make a career in the Navy or Air Force. And then, if there is ever another need for a Berlin Airlift, the United States can do the right thing.

I just believe the U.S.A. is a force for good in the world. Nothing wrong with letting the younger generation see an air show to make them feel good about their country, in my opinion.

I already said I love to see them, and Im retired DOD. You only showed up to criticize ono of the other posters. Frankly, I don't think the younger generation even knows that this forum exists.
