There are examples of super-senses, where normal senses are heightened to well above normal levels . As far as extra sensors are concerned, these would probably develop in an animal that didnt have language or couldnt use it in a particular situation, like hunting . Lions et al seem to be very highly organised without language when they hunt . If ESP does exist, we should find it in animals before humans because the linguistic ability of humans would make it an evolutionary redundancy .
