@georgeob1,
Can you provide examples of Obama's tendency toward bigotry?

@ehBeth,
I thought I did that by describing what I agreed with.

For Bernie supporters, here's a nice, feel-good piece about the Bern. It's a little dated but if I missed it a few months ago, maybe you did too.

It makes me feel so hopeful for the Millennial generation. They obviously don't need sexy for a candidate like so many people my age do.

"Bernie is bae" for them (and me) because he's honest. Authentic. Gives an old idealist hope for the future. Bernie's most faithful demographic are young woman. So glad they don't vote for a vagina - again, like so many women my age.

Enjoy.

@cicerone imposter,
But he seemed so certain of his assertion that Obama has been someways bigoted... I have faith he'll find something. I mean, surely he wouldn't use that pejorative (bigot) against Obama without any basis, and then flee like a wet dog?

It is the chance of a lifetime to be a part of the Sanders phenomenon. I was a part of that surge, sending my fifth donation to Bern. A few bucks for me, and a few in honor of my bud, edgarblythe - just because. May do it again tomorrow.

I'm so proud America finally has a decent human being running for president.

I'm so proud.

It is so thrilling that the response to Hillary's dirty lies about Bernie, whether direct or proxied through her daughter, is an avalanche of cash.

Wonder how many Pavlovian training sessions she'll need in order to learn her lesson?

The examples are numerous and very visible in the news. You apparently don't want to see them.

Bernie Sanders campaign to make stop at Alabama State

Quote:
In an effort to court black voters, independent Vermont Sen. and 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders's campaign is set to tour historically black colleges and universities, including Alabama State University, on Thursday. But whether Sanders himself will be in Alabama is up in the air.

Sanders will travel to South Carolina State University on Thursday to kick off the "Feel the Bern" HBCU tour, where he'll be accompanied by campaign surrogate Cornel West, the campaign announced Tuesday. Sanders and West are expected to speak about issues of interest to young black voters, including criminal justice reform and making colleges and universities tuition-free.

A date for the Alabama State stop is yet to be scheduled, and there's a possibility that surrogates for Sanders's campaign will be the featured attraction in Montgomery instead of the Vermont senator, the campaign said.

Other HBCUs that will be a part of the tour include Tennessee State University, Jackson State University, Florida A&M University, Virginia State University, Howard University, the Atlanta University Center and Benedict College.

@revelette2,
Interesting. Recent poll data suggests Sanders has fairly good prospects of winning either (or both) of the New Hampshire & Iowa primaries. That could be an important setback for Hillary, but one she is likely to survive, given her apparently deeper support in the broader spectrum of likely Democrat voters. This may indicate Bernie's intention of more vigorously courting some of Hillarys more committed supporters, perhaps in anticipation of a continuing decline in the fortunes of the Clintion campaign.

There's little doubt that Sanders has excited very strong support from a large segment of Democrat voters. However to overcome the fears that he may not be able to energize the whole Democrat base he needs to adress these issues. It appears that he intends to do so, and that suggests he has finally come to believe he could actually win the nomination -- something that I think few would have predicted a few months ago.

@georgeob1,
Without addressing everything you posted, I agree, if Bernie wants to win, he has win over the black vote and southern states.

Personally I still believe Hillary is going to win, but if Bernie does win, I hope he gets someone not quite as uncompromising as he is. Hillary would work better in today's political climate, imo.
