@engineer,
I haven't heard any other candidate so strident. Makes no difference the sex. Why people always bring in sex is a mystery to me. I could vote for Warren in a heartbeat.

@edgarblythe,
You are really saying you have not heard other candidates so strident when Trump, Cruz and Sanders routinely pontificate about the evils of society from their pulpits on a regular basis? I guess I should link to some campaign appearances, but since they are all pretty much spouting off, you can take your pick.

As to why people bring in sex, I don't know. Why do you focus on her tone of voice instead of the content of her words? Apparently her tone of voice was enough to get people to break the Internet with donations.

They only sound like her when shouting insults. Not in virtually every appearance.

@edgarblythe,
They pretty much sound like that all the time, Sanders included. Clinton occasionally mixes in the "we can do this together" stuff. Here are the phrases Clinton and Sanders say the most. I don't have a problem with either list, but if you asked he who the angry person is, Sanders would win hands down.

Of course you would say that. You are a Clintonista. Doesn't make it so.

I wanted to circle back to this statement. I was just reading an article by a woman who found herself using a microaggression to attack another woman who she was having a disagreement with. The other woman immediately got upset and the author recognized what she did immediately, but the words were out there. Of course you will never find Warren's voice shrill or think she is a nag because you support her. The trick is avoid using that attacks on your opponents. I guarantee you when she runs you will here it from other quarters. You want to talk about Clinton's positions and actions, great. You have a problem with her voice, clothing, appearance, that isn't related to politics.

@engineer,
Yup. He's clearly presenting as the angry guy, and he's intentionally trying to stir and ride the anger of his minions - not entirely unlike Trump and Cruz use teabagger's.
Anyone who denies that is a liar or blind.

@engineer,
We all use language that shows our feelings about a person.

Sanders has bellowed too, but I love what he's saying and agree with him, so I use words with a different connotation.

@engineer,
Her "tone" is not what led to the massive donations, her cloaking herself in the deaths of Americans to excuse her corruption was what pissed people off.

I'm sure you knew that.

You are projecting your image of someone else onto me. I never mentioned her clothing or appearance, but, you are wanting to decide for me. Warren can get pretty strong, but her normal tone is not the drill sergeant thing, as has become pretty much the norm with Clinton.

But why does it seem like a fair thing to you, to put her down for her tone of voice?

Every time I tune in to Bernie his mouth is wide open bellowing something like I am going to break all the banks. Deny that if you can.

@snood,
I don't know what your definition of fair is. My definition is that both sides should be judged equally.

Hillary and her allies are throwing some shots at Bernie. Bernie and his allies are throwing some shots back. Bernie's shots toward Hillary are about her ties to Wall Street and her support of the Iraq war. These seem like fair shots to me (at least compared to the crap she is throwing at Bernie).

The idea that one candidate needs to be protected, while the other is fair game doesn't match my idea of fairness.

@edgarblythe,
Hillary Clinton has never once sounded like a drill sergeant.

I have donated funds on the internet for Hillary Clinton, I just have to watch it, even small amounts. My husband is retired. Guess her tone doesn't bother me, I know she doesn't grimace when she talks.

Engineer has it half right, it isn't about looks or tone of voice.

The real issue is that Hillary is entitled to be the Democratic nominee. This old socialist Jew isn't playing along and his idealistic followers who really should fall in line with the rightful nominee aren't getting with the program.

That is why every attack against Hillary is considered a sexist, nasty, slur while every attack against Bernie or his supporters is no big deal.

The attack that says that I (as a Bernie Sanders support) I am not a true Democrat, but then I am morally obligated to vote for the Democratic candidate, is especially irksome to me.

We all know what happened here.

Engineer asked what Hillary said to instigate massive donations. I don't really think he wanted to know; he was trying to poke at me for not remembering or not being forthcoming about what she said to start a cascade of cash.

Regardless of whether or not he was being sincere, I thought about it, remembered and gritted my teeth again at the low character of her comments re 911/$335K a speech intake from Wall Street, and shared that information here.

I remembered the way she built up this fake ass crescendo, working herself into an orchestrated indignant tone - and I characterized it as "bellowed." Like a good Hillary apologist, Engineer ignored the facts I described, and clung to the word "bellowed." We all know Hillary is working overtime, trying to pin sexism on anybody she can.

She bellowed. It's not sexist; it's accurate.

Why is how she sounded worse than what she said?

There is an astonishing disconnect between the people who want the country to get rid of corruption and those who revel in it to get what they want.
