@Olivier5,
It would be interesting to see a split between Mr. Sanders and a subset of his supporters. Academically interesting.

@CalamityJane,
I believe that as more time passes, those in the 17-28 age group will increase in support for Bernie.

@ehBeth,
This sort of things has happened already. In 2008 some Hillary supporters were so angree about her loss in the primaries that they went on to vote for McCain & Palin.

Must not have been too many of them seeing as how Obama won.

Unless Bernie manages to break through to non white voters in larger numbers, I don't see him getting the nomination.

@Olivier5,
What effect did that have on the results?

@ehBeth,
Ultra marginal i would say. Limitted to people within the campaign mostly.

@Olivier5,
You didn't understand what I said.

I said if Bernie isn't the nominee - the scenario I mentioned is the plan of a lot of voters.

Bernie wouldn't run in this election, but the separation of a lot of dissatisfied voters from the Dem party and an accrual of Indies and formerly disaffected is being planned for the future.

Bottom line is - I will vote for Bernie, but if Bernie doesn't make it, I will vote for Hillary. Any Democrat is better than these clowns at the Republican side.

CJ, what are your thoughts about the supporters of one Dem candidate saying that, in the event the other Dem gets the nomination they won't vote for them?

@snood,
I think these people are idiots! One is foremost a Democrat and the candidate comes in second. The core of one's social beliefs and basic understanding of the Democratic party's ideology would turn 180 if one votes for Republicans instead. I rather see these people stay home and not vote at all.

I really dislike Hilary Clinton, on a personal level as I think she's dishonest and she is primary in for money and fame, yet I'd vote for her in a heartbeat should Bernie fall by the wayside.

I think she did pretty well there in answering attacks from Sanders. Kind of tripped him up when she brought up Obama (who remains popular among democrats)and other democrats who also would fall short of the Bernie's gateway to progressiveness.

@edgarblythe,
Why vote EdgarB down? He's for Bernie, just showing a link he saw.

Besides, voting down simply for disagreement is so junior high.

@Lash,
The way i see it, the best way forward for Bernie and his supporters is to take over the Dem party. It's doable. Creating a new party is also doable but there's really only room for two parties in a first past the post voting system.
