Must be, she didn't bother to answer.
What have you been up to today?
Crazy day! Had a meeting until 12:00 went to pick up my boy and now I am about to cook dinner for my neighbor who just had a baby...and I get to HOLD that baby! Very happy thing.
Got big plans for your day?

(You're a neighbour in a million)
Nothing exciting, have to take my lawnmower apart as it is giving me troubles.
Are you still enjoying the threads?
Thanks! I am enjoying them...sometimes I feel guilty...I spend way too much time here. Have so many other things I need to do. But it is so much fun!
So you are a mechanic?
Only a home mechanic
And you are a midwife?
HA! Heck no! But I love babies!
Do you keep a winter garden? Or are you just preparing to plant for the warmer weather?
Winter garden mostly, summer just to hot, plus we have water restrictions.
How old are your three boys?
twins are 7, baby is 4...not really a baby anymore!
So is your winter garden still producing?
Yes, presently silverbeet, broccoli, kale, red beet and lots of endive.
Are vegetable very expensive in the US? (they are here)
Some are some aren't - as a whole we are pretty fortunate I'd say. Sounds like a great garden.
Do you work in it every day?
For a little while, keeping the weeds down.
What will you be watching on TV tonight?
Ch 7 tonight...RSPCA, Medical Emergency, then All Saints. Actually, I will tape All Saints, and go to bed at 8.30 to read. How about you?
Ch10 & Ch 7 News than back to Lovatts and the threads.
What kind of books do you like reading?
Just finished a top read about a boy growing up in North Korea and the ridiculous conditions and brainwashing he was subject to. He is now about 21 and living in USA. Really rivoting stuff.
I like books that get a chuckle, like Ben Elton; horror like Graham Masterton and Richard Laymon; some bios; and a little of everything else (bar romance novels, which I find too fake).
What do you read? (other than dictionaries and thesaurus)
all sorts/..... now a days reading some Sidney Sheldon but just finished "My Feudal Lord"....
what do you enjoy more? fiction or nonfiction?
Travel and expedition writings.
Do you like history?
Not really, but only due to ignorance. In high school history we were taught about ancient Egypt etc and nothing about Australia. Would preferred to learn about Aussie history, especially about WWI & WWII.
Do you have an interest in history? My interests are more in science - biology, anatomy, physiology and especially microbiology.
World War 11 is quite an interresting historical topic with a great deal of information to get your teeth into.
Do you think the decision to use the 'Bomb' on Japan was correct?
Absolutely, would have like to have seen a different target, but then again look at all the innocent deaths they caused.
Do you think OPEC meetings achieve anything?
