I am in the South as well, here in North America - Alabama to be exact! (I hear the pokes at us too...I am use to all of the redneck jokes...I come from a long line of them...learning to embrace it and let people think what they want! Laughing )

Are you close to Alabama?

Well....our average is probably around 92 F in the summer...though this summer we were dealing with 100's - up to 106 for weeks. It was horrid.
Really not used to that at all.

How cold does it get there in the winter?

Yes. Generally starts getting warm in May - sometimes as early as March and last through October. Sometimes through November. I have celebrated Christmas wearing cutoffs (shorts) many years! Laughing But it varies...we can usually count on warm weather from May to October no real spring or fall.

I don't. Only bits and pieces - mostly gleened from watching Crocodile Hunter with the kids or movies! It's a shame...I am embarrassed to admit it! It sounds like a fabulous place. A friend of ours goes there a good bit. Love it.

I am not a good one to ask Dutchy...(sorry I didn't mean to be abrupt - I just remembered you telling me!) I hate to watch the news....it depresses me. Every time I watch I get bogged down in all the garbage. Sorry to hear it was such a hassle. I really don't understand politics. I think money is so misused...it really is horrid.
