I've passed it. I'm going down to Cornwall again next Friday (and probably every weekend until I leave) so I'll stop by.
What's you favorite spot in England?
There is a place called Anglezarke, many years ago, I located a beautiful spot in that region, a rock face with quite a drop down to a stony stream below. I took my daughters and wife there for years, once a year in April, we called it 'Sleepy Hollow'
Many a time now, they talk about it. I ask them if they have ever been since they were kids. 'No' they both want to remember it as it was to them as kids. We have one photograph of it only.
Plus, as they both admit, they do not think they could find it!
Isn't that nice?
That's very nice.
Do you have a photograph you'd like to share?
Any number.
What part of the world do you like to see apart from Tuscany?
Moscow.
Don't ask me why, it's a yen I have had for years, I'll go there one day!
Have you ever been to Moscow?
No - but I did have a jigsaw puzzle of St Basil's Cathedral when I was a kid so I consider myself an expert on Moscow.
What attracts you about Moscow?
The Kremlin, would love to visit that treasure of history.
Have you ever been outside the UK, and if so, where?
I have but I don't like thinking about it because it was so horrible and agonising and it only happened under orders anyway.
Do you like nodding off on the sofa during programmes about The Enlightenment or The Renaissance or The French Revolution?
Absolutely and i enjoy it immensely.
Are you affected by floodwaters, images of which are being shown on our TV screens, almost hourly?
Not too badly in my location, the M6 has a traffic warning due to vehicles aqua plaining and one or two sections of roads are flooded which is probably down to blocked drains, these appear to be receiving attention at present. I carried out some land drainage work on my lawns last year and this has improved the situation regarding lawns becoming water logged immensely. In fact, it's virtually non-existent. There is a brook some five hundred yards from my home, on a lower level, it is running high, and obviously I am keeping an eye on that aspect.
Yorkshire appears to have been receiving some atrocious levels of rain-water and terrible flooding. It must be horrendous to have to face those damages. Four lives lost to date also, very sad!
Do you think Spendi might have got 'water on the brain?'
I'm bloody sure he has going by his own statement "It's a shame the way she makes me scrub the floor."
Have you noticed someone on this thread wants a photo of your macho body?
No I hadn't actually Dutchy, who was that mate?
Yep, all that rain and damage in Yorkshire, I do feel very sorry for them, but not Spendi, do you think he might get ducks disease and go quackers?
Go back a few posts mate.
All jokes aside, do you think spendi's pub could be flooded, and he's holed up in the attic there?
Wasn't he in Lancashire?
Is there any flooding in your part of the world?
Absolutely, 2 States are dealing with severe flooding, and that after the most severe drought we've had.
Do you think the world's weather patterns are changing?
maybe, but i don't know much on the subject... it's been fine in my area...expected stuff... but pretty shocking news from the south...
do you think it's changing for better or for worse?
I don't think it is changing at all, just the same over a period of years.
Holw warm is it up your way at present, 30 degrees?
not sure.... but it rained today... all day!!! and the electricity was out for FOUR HOURS.... imagine that!!!!
but it's really pleasant at the moment....
what's it like on your end?
Very chilly and I don't like it one bit.
Have you been for a swim today?
nope...but i did take one of those rain-showers... been standing under the rain barefoot... now my feet are all blue!
do you enjoy doing crazy things without caring about the consequences?
