I was more interested in Africa- but I could just as easily do someplace like Viet Nam or Cambodia.

Yes, it's a beautiful Island, but Denpasar is a little on the dodgy side. or it was, I was last there in 1986.

I asked about Bali because a friend of mine told me that was her absolute favorite tropical island. I like tropical islands and I've never been to that one- or Easter Island.
Dutchy are you talking about Bali being dangerous for westerners or Denpasar?

Bali. My son was there when they blew up that night-club some years ago, lucky to escape as he had just left there. Ever since the news about the island in our press is not very good and at times Australians have been warned to stay away altogether.

I had a trip planned, deposit put down and everything to go to Peru and Chile- and then we found out we were moving to England, so I couldn't go.
