Do you mean in miles, yards, feet and inches, or were you considering the metric scale?

Let's go for metric.

So is that a question worthy of this philosophical thread?

Wouldn't it confound our American friends if we bamboozle them with unfamiliar measurements?

Not one bit...We can make as much noise as we want, sunbathe nekkid if we want, let the grandson's run riot in the gardens when they want, and nobody complains over anything. It's paradise.

My nearest neighbour is approx one mile away, it used to be Tommy Cavanagh until he moved, his regular house guest was George Best, do you know who Tommy was?

Yes WV Tommy Docherty was assistant manager and sponge man at Old Trafford (Man U) during the Docherty era. He was a great guy.

Sadly, I learned last night, that Tommy passed away in March of this year, I was out of the UK then and didn't hear about his passing.

Of course I knew Tommy Docherty - but you wrote Tommy Cavanagh!

You are losing your marbles perhaps?

I hate to think so, Mathos can speak for himself.

Are you not a little bit cheeky to ask Mathos such a personal question?

I really did make an error there! Must be all those head punches I've been taking at the gym! Embarrassed

Tommy Cavanagh (my one time next door neighbor) was assistant manager to Tommy Docherty at Old Trafford and it was Tommy Cavanagh who passed away in March last. Excuse my lapse.

Has anybody found my marbles yet? Shocked Shocked Shocked

It has caught the imagination and sympathy of the nation in a huge way, like Diana's death. Yet in other countries there are so often abductions and kidnappings and rapes of children but they don't get more than a passing mention in the press.

Do you think it's our greatest fear, as parents? Or as children?

Parents, definitely. The child's mind doesn't have the detail we've been given from movies and the media. The mere mention of something terrible happening to my kids puts me in a panic I don't much care for.

I know a lady who is extremely competent in massages, before I make arrangements though, it might be a good idea if you let me know which foot you need massaging, then there are no complications.
