No they all stay under-ground.

Why do you always ask stupid, irrelevant questions?

Only if you dislike oxygen, food, color, and/or work.

What flower or vegetable most flourishes under your particular brand of green thumb?

Have a large vegetable plot where I grow lots of beans, brocolli, cauliflower, cucumber, zucchini, tomatoes, carrots, strawberries, rock and water melons, onions and pumpkin. Very difficult at the moment with the drought and the severe water restrictions we're having.

What are your spare time hobbies?

Women.

Why do women wear as little as possible on hot sunny days?

Because it comes naturally as soon as the weather allows.

Wouldn't it be ghastly if they wore nothing (as little as possible)?

That question was obviously directed at Spendi.

I love women no matter how little they wear, surely you knew that, didn't you?

Actually I do, but I think there has to be more give and not all take on each and every side.

What do you think the first steps should be to achieve this scenario?

I suggest that, as a first step, my teddy bear should be made world president -he is very knowledgeable as I talk to him quite often.

Or do you have a better suggestion?

Santa Claus would get my nomination.

What is the title of the book you are currently reading?

The Priesthood of All Believers

I'm reading the galleys (sp?)-it's slated for publication this fall. It's very intriguing and well-written.

Do you think Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny only bring presents/treats to those good little children who truly believe?

Every year is different. This year so far I've probably averaged about one book per month. I keep taking books out of the library- and even buying books- that I don't really get into and so don't finish.
In the past, some years, I'd probably average maybe two or three books a week. A lot depends on whether I'm working or not. I read a lot more when I'm not working. I used to read almost obsessively. These days, I'm much more easily distracted or tempted to do other things. I don't know if it's the fact that my concentration is lapsing or that there really aren't as many interesting books to read anymore.

Do you ever feel that you've probably read the really good stuff already, and a lot of the new stuff is just weaker imitations and not really worth the time and effort? Same with music? In other words, can you think of any new authors or composers or musicians that you'd say surpass, or even compare favorably to some or any of your old favorites?

Sorry, you guys pipped me, or I just missed your question- for some reason the last one I saw was Mathos'.
I don't watch tv.

I listen to BBC 4 radio and sometimes Radio2 when Bob Harris is on.

Can anyone recommend any good, new authors?
