I like psycho books and a good romance every now and then. But I will always love the classics like Jane Austin. I also like movies based on classic books. Like Clueless was actually based on Emma.

A quite rare book and an ordinary one at the moment. The Physiology of Taste by Brillat Savarin. A beautifully made 1st edition translation by M.F.K Fisher which is a mine of information and really good jokes if you know how to take them.It's all in little essays such as The Erotic Possibilities of Truffles and Inconveniences of Obesity.About 200.Fabulous.An Arabian Nights of the Belly.It's sub-title is Meditations on Transcendental Gastronomy.
The other is Churchill's Grand Alliance by Mr Charmley which doesn't put you Yanks in all that good a light.
I can read anything well written.
