No.I'm a really good cook.I can do beans on toast.
And quite of few of the Heinz soups. Those I like.
I once tried boiling an egg but I underdid it and got sacked because of the repercussions.

Do you butter bread on the top or underneath?

I'm 25. From your earlier post it seemed to me as though you thought I was too young to cook. As in too young to use the kitchen. It made me giggle.

I cook a mean breakfast ( ) and people have enjoyed my mashed potatoes and burritos before.

Do you eat out often then?

spendius, you're exactly like I thought you'd be around
the kitchen. Isn't butter always spread on top of the
bread?

I guess so Shazzer - nothing fancy but I like to grab a bite
on the road. I didn't start cooking before age 25, and even
after that I had many trial and error runs.

Well the English are not famous for their food either.
Has it changed in the meantime?

I suppose it has. There has been a definite swing away from homely foods served with a beaming smile towards a device known as a microwave oven.I think this is to enable women to be released into the workforce to carry out more important tasks such as handing out parking tickets and power dressing.

Is it like that where you live?

Somewhat yes. Nowadays there are more important
things in our lives than cooking. Most women (I know)
work and need to divide their time between office, family,
household and some free time for themselves. Something
always has to give.....

Parking tickets? I think we have one metermaid for
every citizen living in my village *argh*

Did you have a stay at home mother?

No, my mother is the breadwinner. She's a nurse and worked the night shift for most of my life. She recently switched to days which is kind of tripping her out.

Are your parents still married/together (if they ever were)?

Possibly.I was out a lot myself so I couldn't really say for sure.I tried to avoid her as much as I could.
I used to call her Mrs Whydontu.

Have you read Philip Larkin's famous poem about Mums and Dads?

Is it a good poem?

My parents are what I would call 'familiar acquaintances'. I was emancipated at 16. I see them ofen enough. We live in the same town, But they're emotionally vacant.

Are you close to your mom?

No, I am not into relatives at all. I am very close to
my mother, call her at least once a week in Europe.

Relatives are a pain in the ***, aren't they?

They certainly can be. No one in the world knows you quite the same way your family does. . .

Oh yes! I have an older brother and growing up we
were like dog and cat, constantly fighting and chasing
each other. In retrospect, I am happy to have a sibling.

How many siblings do you have?

Can you see any similarities between you and your brother?

When we were younger, people thought my older brother and I were twins. Of course it bugged me at the time, but I can kinda understand it now. My younger brother lookes more like the other half of my parents' genes. We used to joke that he was a product of the milkman. I think he actually appreciated having some physical individuality since he's the youngest. Personality-wise, I can see similiarities, but there are also some striking differences.

Did you have any pets growing up?

Still do. Our cocker-spaniel Nippy's been in the family for almost 14 years. And she is still a cutie at 91 dog years old. No botox for her.

Do you have any pets now?
