Do you think some people might be hung up not reading some authors?

Yes. I don't particularly enjoy reading Charles Bukowski. To vulgar
for my taste.

Anyone you won't read?

That's a ridiculous question. That is tantamount to hi-jacking the thread for rabid feminists.I'm not sitting still for that.

What would you think if asked....Mmmmnumn?Damn!I can't even say do you like making love to ladies.
You even have that covered.

Can you see what we are up against?

Haha, you must feel pretty insecure to have your cage
rattled by such a simple comment.

Who is we?

We male intellectuals. The rest don't feel threatened because they are too daft.It pains me to watch women taking advantage of them in the manner that they do.

Don't you think I'm just being scientific?

No. You're not just scientific, you're also insecure.
Intellectuals with enough selfworth and -esteem can allow
feminists on their side (Sartre/Beauvoir). They don't
feel threatened in the least, you do!

How come?

I thought I had answered that.Take the "glee" you exhibited at the idea of having a butler.Take that glee to a focussed election, have it win and pass laws that everywoman has to have a butler. And by then the silly sods would think it normal.Beauvoir is "toe-in-the-water" I'm afraid.Quite a well brought up young lady as I understand it.And Sartre is too slow.

Would you not agree?

No. Don't be ridiculous. The butler is wishful thinking and
was a playful interaction. Don't take things so seriously...

In what way was Sartre too slow?

Subjective impression.Could have been the translations.

I was talking about the glee.I have seen it many times. It is genuine alright. And anything genuine I take seriously. It's all the pussy-footing I don't take seriously.I wonder why you don't wishful think about picking turnips. It's always butlers of some sort.

Why don't you to get a balance?

I glee at the thought of having a butler? Of course, who
wouldn't? Unfortunately, I don't have the room or the
extra funds for an additional dependent, but I still can dream. I balance my life actually quite well.

Why does it seem unbalanced to you?

I never said anything justifying such a wild conclusion.Neither would I.

"But I can still dream" but not about picking turnips.More being waited on hand and foot and cossetted eh?Are not elections about putting dreams into action and who will the butlers be?Are there enough men left to fight it off?

I like being waited on, right, but I am capable of paying
for the service, so nothing wrong here. There always will
be butlers in life and people who employ them. One cannot
exist without the other.

What's wrong with that?

What's wrong with that is that things don't remain static. There is direction to things. And with compliant males it can get into gear.It is already anti-social to smoke and spit on the floor and goose the barmaids and ladies are leaders in the bad language field.I know blokes who stopped using bad language because they saw it as effeminate.

Are you sure you are paying?

Yes I am sure of that. Compliant males? I think you
misunderstand a few things here Mr. Green
Life is much simpler in California than you imagined.
You're reading too much into it.

Will you trust me in that?

Sure I will.I would like to know in what way though. And how simple.

Do you see this as an argument or a discussion?

More as an argument. Life is simple as we work and play
like everywhere else too. We're probably more laid back
and casual, live more for recreational time than someplace
else, but we're perfectly content with the beach, the ocean
and some sunshine. We're not pretentious as it is portrayed
in the Hollywood movies, much more humble than that.

Does this sound better?

It sounds neither better nor worse. You are who you are.But why are these scientists you know "nerds".

Can you define a nerd for me?

Why they are nerds? Because they're socially inept.
They only live for their work and nothing else matters.
To me that's a waste of life. One of my scientist friends even sleeps in his lab (when his wife is out of town) and would work around the clock if he could.

A nerd has poor social skills and is not interested in
interacting with others outside his field of expertise.

Does this correlate with your definition?

No.I have slept in a lab myself.Sometimes it is necessary. It may be that you don't encourage them to react non-nerdially towards you.Maybe they find you overwhelming and are afraid of not meeting with your approval.Could they want to get away from something for perfectly good reasons in which case the something might be the problem. How do you know they are in the lab when they disappear.

But then you must mean you like social ineptness or,at least not dislike it or worse be apathetic.

Which is it?

It is the challenge to get through to them and make them
socially more interesting, resp. get them away from the
lab. Do they want to get away from me? No, they live
out of state, and their wives check on them in the lab,
so I am told, they're there.

I do not dislike socially inept people, right.

Do you like social butterflies?
