... Or maybe a huge ego & a messiah thing? Power? The desire to be a major "player" in world events?
I may not believe that any politician can wipe out terrorism, but I still have faith in Starbucks.
All we can do is try to get rid of the known bad guys, and act in such a way that we have no part in creating more afterward. But there will always be bad guys in any case, no matter what.
Optimism is hard to find here.
