Can anyone tell me the correct way to reference television shows and episodes in a tweet? You cannot italicise with Twitter let me give a few examples using random example:

TV show: Prison Break
Season: 2
Episode: 15
Title: The Message

EXAMPLE 1: Wanting to tweet that you just wanted TV SHOW

EXAMPLE 2: Wanting to tweet saying that you're about to watch TITLE from TV SHOW

EXAMPLE 3: Wanting to tweet that you're going to start EPISODE of SEASON of TV SHOW.

So on and so forth. I'm wanting to get this right the first time round. :-)

@fred33,
There is very little formality with Twitter. I'd use hashtags if I were you.

  1. I just watched Ep15 of #PrisonBreak OMG #TheMessage !
  2. Sitting down to watch #PrisonBreak Ep15, #TheMessage - care to join me?
  3. About to start #PrisonBreak Ep15 #TheMessage Streaming in 15 minutes

Note: I added a space between any hashtags and any following punctuation.

@fred33,
I was just looking for exactly the same thing, only on Facebook. How would you do this for Facebook?

@SearchItUp,
Facebook has a lot more character space, but I would still use hashtags as they're searchable. E. g.

I just watched the #NewShow #Friendship episode. I *LOVED* it!

Asterisks or even slashes are used for emphasis because you don't have bolding, italicizing or underlining. Use all caps sparingly.
