Gennifer Flowers, the cabaret singer who had an affair with Bill Clinton, has threatened possible legal action over the former president's treatment of her in his newly-published memoir, My Life.
"I have not yet read Mr Clinton's book but you can bet that my Judicial Watch attorneys will," Flowers said in a statement issued by Judicial Watch - a Washington-based conservative court and government watchdog.
"I have learned that Bill Clinton has repeated his lies about me and I am sickened by his continued disregard for the truth," Flowers said. "Bill Clinton pretends to be contrite but he continues to bear false witness against his neighbour. He is a national disgrace."
A storm broke over stories of Clinton's relationship with Flowers - she said they had a 12-year affair - when he was running for the Democratic nomination for president in 1992.
Clinton, with his wife by his side, categorically denied the accusation at the time, although six years later he would admit that they had a relationship.
I think that I have mentioned this before, but I knew a woman who worked for the state of Arkansas when Clinton was governor. She said that everyone in the office KNEW why Clinton's limo was parked in front of a certain apartment building every lunch hour.
Anybody else here think she ought to read it before making threats? Or am I the only one who sees something wrong here?
Liar, liar, pants on fire.
I think that phrase must have been coined in Arkansas.
Mind you, just sueing him is probably quicker for Ms. Flowers than actually reading a book.
She's been another typical publicity opportunist in the past -- why expect anything new?
Ms. Flowers reading skills may not be the highest in the world although she apparently does have some other talents
I'm sure she still is putting those talents to work, too. She knew he was married -- it takes two to tango.
I would guess that Ms. Flowers has been informed of her treatment in Bill's book and that has prompted her comments.
Does anyone see anything wrong with the propensity to blame the WOMEN involved with Bill Clinton more than they blame him?
She must have had a pretty good time before turning against him. How is she better than him?
She told the truth about it--and she wasn't married.
I don't see where it matters if she wasn't married. I still doubt her scruples in carrying on a relationship with a married man. Would you do it?
And how do you know she told the truth? In these kinds of relationships in my life experience, both parties are equally at fault.

you must be kidding right? If Lewinski and Flowers hadn't been caught servicing Clinton they wouldn't have rated dinner and a show....much less 40 million of taxpayers money....they've been made out to be the poor practically virginal dupes of Clinton the whole time...you are Wayyyyyy off base......
Oh I stand corrected BP. These evil, conniving, opportunistic women just called him up, put something in his drink or otherwise completely duped him to have their way with him. He is completely blameless and above reproach. I keep forgetting that.
Where do you get that I said that? Clinton and those girls are like electricity...in order to get a flow of juice, you have to connect the male and female ends.......they were all whoring.....
I doubt that a womanizer is able to establish these trysts without the woman's equal cooperation. Unless Bill is Svengali and is hypnotizing them.

I'm not sure about that particular hyperbole, but Clinton was a charming, powerful man with a penchant for philandering. Believe me, there are plenty of women who fall for that schtick every day. Both parties are to blame, morally. It is also entirely within the realm of possibility that Flowers is as big a liar as Clinton. Both of them should suck it up, and fess up.

No pun intended....
Or maybe it was....heh heh.
