To live without killing is a thought which could electrify the world, if men were only capable of staying awake long enough to let the idea soak in.

The idea of this thread is to let people grow used to the notion of atheism, without there being a war about. Familiarity breeds indifference.
@edgarblythe,
Made me think of a quote I read recently by Bertrand Russell: “War does not determine who is right - only who is left". I think that sums it up concisely
When I was but a young man in his twenties, I loved B Russell. I have gotten away from him in succeeding years, but I cherish the times I read his books and followed his antics in politics. I recall riding a NYC subway, reading the first installment of his autobiography, when a plump older man put a dour face in my book, to see what it was. Then he sadly shook his head in disapproval. I grinned at him and kept on reading. Jump to the year 2000, with me sitting in a doctor's office, in Houston. I was reading a book that had Tibetans in it and the paperback's cover reflected as much. Enter a straight well dressed young man, to sit at an angle that presented my book cover to his curious eyes. After a moment, he said to the receptionist, in a loud, stern voice, "I would never read anything that would let eastern thought enter my mind." (paraphrasing) I grinned and kept on reading. As you can tell, I piss people off just by being myself.
The Rosetta craft wakes up. EdgarB wakes up. Could it be a coincidence?
Fabulous, Edgar...just fabulous.
I loved it.
And the Babe really was a ham.
@edgarblythe,
Thanks, movie or not, interesting..
@ossobuco,
Did you recognize Babe Ruth?
I know that dog is watching
He has a very big paw
And when I'm up
He knocks me down
And all I say is "Awww"
Me not know. Would ask Lone Ranger, but him make up song about Tonto:
Hi yo silverware
Tonto lost his underwear
"Me no care.
Lone Ranger buy me 'nother pair."
@edgarblythe,
Not until I watched it again just now. Didn't watch the whole thing the first time.
