Fact is...we do not know if REALITY contains gods or not.

Not sure why people cannot simply acknowledge that, but that is something they have to deal with.

O'Hare was as militant as they get. She did not enhance the atheist position in the pecking order. I watched her go toe to toe with a Christian on TV one time, in which both tried so hard to scream the other down they were to me indecipherable. Still, she had a right to express her views.

I remember her being mocked a lot and nothing about it, with no opinion of my own.

If you're talking about O'Hair, I really don't know anything about her either. Don't really even know who she is. She does sound like she feels she has a "score to settle" though.

@edgarblythe,
I think Frank types faster than either of us.

Louder, too.

Hard to keep up.

My one finger typing has been made fun of before, neo. You would be surprised how many pages one can type using my skill level.

@layman,
Interesting idea. I was in the girl scouts for a while, which brings up other stories, like me at the washington monument getting my first period.

When did the Kumbaya thing start?

Oh, god, baez.
make me cry

@layman,
Well, I loop around. Usually my responses are aimed for the immediate poster in the small letters to the left top of the post page, which may be green, I can't tell..
maybe grey silver green.

However, I can confuse myself. I can be tricky, sometimes not on purpose.

Reality. Whatever is is. What is is that for some it contains a god, for others what is doesn't contain a god, and there is no two ways about it.

Of all the Peace songs of the 60s, I never cared for Kumbaya. No particular reason. I just prefer any of the others.

Well, there's probably a reason, eh, Ed? It kinda bites. And that's being generous, just because Joan is HOT!

@layman,
Joan is just one of hundreds that sang and recorded that song. I don't identify it with any one person. Joan I love.

@layman,
I don't think I liked it much either.. Too something cutie poo contrived.

I did like Joan and I assume Eb did too. I heard her sing acapella once, in San Diego. Shivers.

@layman,
I prefer Dylan's anti war songs. Several by Phil Ochs, Some of John Lennon, Pete Seger, Arlo Guthrie, Barry McGuire - Country Joe was okay too.
