Are you saying that a2k is an M. Night Shyamalan film? That everyone remaining here are dead? Am I a ghost?

A2K will be around until the owner decides to pull the plug on it and I doubt that will happen anytime soon, people will come and go just as they do with all messages boards.

Meantime, the two people whining about it only open and post their own threads and don't participate in other's threads, at least that I've noticed.

I’m going to have to start a revisited thread in a week and revisit this subject.
I got over oristar when he was way beyond rude to a poster or posters trying to give him a clue. Nasty pages of that..
Plus, he ventures nowhere, yet declares a2k gone.
I've been reading some of the Abuzz Dlowan's Digression threads - now there was a really sad loss. Elegance, wit, humour, erudition - all the good stuff.
That fun never really migrated here. The people mostly did - but the fun - not so much!

I too miss Abuzz.
A2K started off a little too nice for me. I like a little fisticuffs. When Abuzz shut down and everyone came here A2K was great. Then it just got mean. People would just mark down threads and call each other names and good discussions could never get off the ground.
I quit posting for a while when someone I really liked said some incredibly rude things to me.
I always check in and I'm trying to post a little more often these days. A2K will always be my online "home".
A lot of the best people are gone and were not completely replaced with new blood, and a lot of the stuff that I used to love about A2K is gone or is less, and it annoys be how mean and brain dead political this place often is now, but there is enough to bring be back for now. It seems to me that we are getting to some understanding and tolerance for opposing political views, but maybe that is wishful thinking. I often wake up to 10-15 of the threads that I am active in with new content, which is not worse than it used to be, but the content tends to be thinner.
I loved Abuzz too, but A2K still has much potential. As I said early on, I am here for the duration.

People have been saying that since about the second year of A2K's existence.
