translation to latin "protect my loved ones"

Dear all,

for a tattoo I wanted to have this phrase: "protect my loved ones" in Latin. However, I have no experience in speaking this language so here I am asking you guys for help

I did some previous research and other translators told me the translation was "protege dilectos meos", however, I am not sure and want to double check this since a tattoo is a life time thing.
