I am shame faced. Although, I have been being slightly productive amusing myself with Raymond Smullyan books. =D Although, ...not what I want to be productive in. Oy. What will I do with myself?

Hey Rick! Russians, as Russia is not part of Europe, are not Europeans. At least this is what I've believed for 44 years. Anyway, my experience is that French is not the best language to learn as I speak it now very well and have little use for it. Russian, Spanish, Chinese - these are the languages one should know!

Get a russian pen pal. If someone writes you a russian letter you'll spend time to translate it. I think that would help the motivation.

Nick, you're right.
Hispanics are about to become a majority in the States and Chinese (Mandarin) and Russian people are in the global majority anyways...

Oh, wait, I made a mistake: "I don't understand" is not "Je ne compris pas", but "Je ne comprends pas"....or is it the first one...

It depends. I call Western-Russia a part of Europe; though Siberia is definitely Asia.

Yeah, I watched a few episodes a while back. Your signature reminded me of them.
I think I stopped watching them because they talked about pie too much. I . . . don't like pie. Well. The food. Razz

My favourite part of Rick's tagline is "Original music: Jennifer Lopez - Jenny From The Block", as she is so far from being Jenny From The Block, the song qualifies as pure fantasy, and therefore completely original. Laughing

We do have some Russian speakers on this board. I hope they find this thread. My family is originally from Russia, but I can't speak a word.
