A sign that you should consider wearing a hat.

@Smileyrius,
And as a building is in ruins after a fire, so is the soul. Man can restore a building after a fire. But only God and His Son can restore a soul.

2 Maccabees 12:46. Thus he made atonement for the dead that they might be freed from this sin.

@neologist,
You are in error about the Holy Trinity. I have witnessed all three and they are separate persons.

@Smileyrius,
Theologians and apologists vary in their hermeneutics, but the basic point is that this mythical god allegedly made man, then set up a system of severe punishment because what it created didn't live up to its demands and expectations, viz, worship. Narcissistic, petty and unimaginably cruel, this god.

And nobody has justified the babies born with severe birth defects yet. Still waiting for some divine justification for that one.

@Patches,
Even though Maccabees is not in the authorized canon, your citation does not support the immortality of the soul All it does is reassure us that the soul may be resurrected. (John 5:28,29)

@Patches,
I believe you have seen things. Should you ever compare what you saw to the scriptural account, I believe you would be quite distressed over having been deceived.

You say you don't accept scriptural explanations as evidence, yet you continue to use scriptural straw men as fodder for your spurious claims. Fight fair FBM

Apologists try to use scripture as evidence for the veracity of its claims external to the texts. They are engaged in circular reasoning, begging the question. Using the texts to point out internal inconsistencies is making an entirely different point and is perfectly legitimate.

You are an idiot. You do not even believe in God. Yet you blame all the world's problems on Him.

The only bad time I can think of was all the wasted time I spend in church on my knees when I could have been fishing. Sorry to hear that you have had such a bad time with logic. Would you like to talk about that?

@FBM,
Apparently the self appointed teacher has failed to understand John 9: 2,3, which indicates the defect is the fault of no one. Compare with Ecclesiastes 9:11
