Sorry Smiley, I'm away from home right now and do not have any reference material with me. Eternal damnation is being without God in the afterlife. It is the human and angelic condition that we are evil and wicked God. We were created to be with God and to be without Him puts the soul to ruins, worthless and without value. It is completely destroyed and the person would have been better off had he/she not been born. We truly do need God. God will nenew and restore the soul upon entering heaven. He will gather you to your family in heaven.
