And that is why we all come to this forum so we can compare ideas and sharpen up on areas where we are uninformed.

The closest thing to an actual God is the sun Frank. The sun lords over us on most days and it has a moon that keeps us reminded of its brilliance while we rest. The sun is comprised of immense incalculable power.

The sun is the only provable "higher power" there is besides gravity which is still a mystery that eludes understanding.

As for these other "gods", they have big shoes to fill if they think they can ever compete with our nurturing and ever present sun...

Telling a Corrupt politician Atheism is real is equivalent to saying Morals are ficticious man made opinion statements.

Atheism is also the advocating of the same moral premise to murderers, rapists and disrespectful shittheads and children. Thus promoting disrespect, and in return giving no positive quality tot he moral premise we live by.

Atheism is the idea that the disrespect, abandonment, abuse and NEGLECT or women, children, neighbours, or Poverty, are nonchalant. Which is the kind of bullshit only atheism supports.

Atheism supports, promotes, advocates, and defends - as an entity - all disrespectful behaviour known to man. It alone.

I indeed said the closest thing to God is the sun not that sun emphatically is God. Though I find the sun more forthright than traditional characterizations of God's supposed persona.

I neither limit the sun nor exalt the sun beyond measure.

As for Mary, her being referred to a few times as a handmaiden in the Bible, understanding traditions at the time of biblical men marrying woman today considered too young to consent and that the idea is also clearly spoken of in the gnostic books of Christianity. I can say history sure seems to paint it such that Mary was a "young" virgin...

I am not simply making a guess bases upon no evidence and in all truth I am uncertain if Mary, Jesus, Joseph or any God has ever existed...

Atheism often is captivity to a belief system...just as in many cases, theism often is captivity to a belief system. It's just that atheists and theists are captive to different, and polar opposite, belief systems.
