Pickleing Lime Injestion?

About pickleing lime; I know it is mostly calcium, but I'm not sure what other elements might be present. Is it safe to injest in small doses? Say if it's used as an additive to distilled water, for taste. Something like 1/8th tsp. per quartof water?
