@TheCobbler,
Quote:They are certainly not capitalist programs...
That is true, but govt programs are not "socialism".
Quote:they are social institutions that are formed by pooling public tax money together to provide services that are removed from capitalist profiteering.
There is no such thing as "public tax money", all tax money belonged to the private sector, unless you are a public employee. All taxes are paid for by either private people or companies, it has nothing to do with "capitalist profiteering" and you will find no wording from the govt that backs your claims.
Quote:Once again you have been fed the politicized version of the truth and you pedal it shamelessly and without moral integrity.
You are actually echoing the politicized version of the truth and pedaling it off as fact. Govt programs are not socialism and nothing you can say will make it so.
I'm actually quit healthy, plus I haven't had the flu in about 5 years. I think I just jinxed myself.
Quote:Disease ridden by the lies you consume, a brain dead zombie of the GOP of Russia.
That's funny. You can keep these Russia and GOP claims up all you want to, it only makes you look like a fool.
Quote:Compare the public library with Borders... (Oh yeah, Borders is gone...)
"It appears to be all over for the Borders bookselling chain. The company will be liquidated — meaning sold off in pieces — and almost 11,000 employees will lose their jobs. The chain's 400 remaining stores will close their doors by the end of September. Jul 19, 2011"
There are actually a lot of physical book stores that have closed thanks to the technology of the e-Reader. You don't have to purchase books from a physical place any longer, you can order them online and have all your books in one compact place. I stopped buying physical books many years ago and usually buy my books from Amazon.com.
