I don't think so nor did I imply such. (The ekklesia certainly wasn't a mob rule, though (male) persons not attending were called "idiōtēs".

I watched once a Landsgemeinde in the smallest canton of Switzerland, nothing like a mob.

In Switzerland, however, they had and have a couple of parties - in the Greek city states, well, not as we understand the term today but similar.
