The FBI and DoJ seem to have the same problem. How many lies have they been caught in? Why isn't Carter Page in jail, what exactly did he do?

@coldjoint,
Yes, there are still discrimination against blacks in this country. It doesn't take a genius, if one reads, that blacks are still mistreated in the marketplace and courts.

Quote:
The internment of German Americans refers to the detention of German nationals and German-American citizens in the United States during the periods of World War I and of World War II. During World War II, the legal basis for internment was under Presidential Proclamation 2526, made by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt under the authority of the Alien and Sedition Acts.[1]

Quote:
At the same time, the US government surveilled, arrested, and interned at least 10,905 ethnic Germans and 288 Italians alongside the Japanese (Krammer, ix). Over 4,058 Germans were transported from South America and held in special camps until they were deported to Germany. Internees were isolated from the American public under guard, subjected to reeducation and Americanization programs, forced to swear loyalty to America under interrogation, and their rights to trial and attorney were heavily restricted. Since the internees held diverse professions, came from all age groups, and included both virulent nationalists and self-proclaimed American patriots, the internment program targeted residents according to nationality, rather than individual criminal charges.

My reply has been deleted. And not by me. Apparently you are in a protected class. It contained 0 foul language. It contained my opinion and facts about German interment in WWII.

@coldjoint,
I'm Japanese American, and if I'm in the "protected class," something has gone haywire because during WWII, we were put into concentration camps. German Americans and Italian Americans didn't suffer the same fate. Do you understand the meaning of the word "bigotry?"
As a child, a white man told me to "go back to your own country." I'm third generation American. Where was I supposed to go?
I'm well aware of the discrimination against blacks in this country. They have suffered discrimination by whites much longer than any minority. Women are not treated equally. Yes, I'm well aware of discrimination by the majority whites in this country.
However, I'm still glad that our grandfather came to the United States of America, because it provided us with equal opportunity. My brothers and I all served in the US military. My brother also served two terms in the California State Legislature, and also as Mayor of his town. Our older brother is an Attorney and worked for the State of California. I've done fairly well, and have traveled the world having visited some 88 countries in 108 trips. I have friends in Russia, England, France, Singapore, Mexico, and Cuba. I have met many interesting people during my travels, and wouldn't trade that for anything else. I'm a proud American most of the time. Trump has succeeded in bringing shame to this country.
BTW, the 442nd Infantry made up of Japanese Americans were the most decorated unit in our country's history. They fought in Italy, France and Germany during WWII. My cousin in Hawaii was in that unit.

Quote:
By the time of WWII, the United States had a large population of ethnic Germans. Among residents of the United States in 1940, more than 1.2 million persons had been born in Germany, 5 million had two native-German parents, and 6 million had one native-German parent. Many more had distant German ancestry. During WWII, the United States detained at least 11,000 ethnic Germans, overwhelmingly German nationals.[3] The government examined the cases of German nationals individually, and detained relatively few in internment camps run by the Department of Justice, as related to its responsibilities under the Alien and Sedition Acts.

Relatively few to the Japanese held. Germans suffered too from the "white majority". It was political not racist.

Yes they did, I already provided the links to the wiki pages showing that the order that sent you and your family to the camps were also used against Germans and Italians. Stop with the fake history lessons.

@cicerone imposter,
The Sheridan Report, written in 1980, tried to clarify the reasons for huge disparity in numbers between German, Italian and Japanese citizens of tge USA, who were interned during the war.

@Walter Hinteler,
There was a prison at Tule Lake Internment Camp for prisoners of war that held German and Italian prisoners. I didn't know that until many decades later when I visited Tule Lake camp with a group of internees.

No one cares what CNN says. They have predicted a stock market crash, war with Russia and NK, and Armageddon. They are discredited bias losers, just like the people who listen to them.

YOU don't trust CNN, but the .public trusts it more than they do Trump as the polls repeatedly show. No wonder, considering he lies nearly every time he opens his mouth.

I have several times. It's the truth. Go to Polling Report and see for yourself. Donald /trump was discredited before the election. Which is why he lost the popular vote to Hillary, not Killary as you persist in calling her
