I didn't realize men were getting pregnant 4 times while working minimum wage jobs. It seems you have decided to build a straw man here. Raising the minimum wage is not designed to help women who have 4 kids. In fact the percentage of families that have 4 children and are on welfare is a rather small percentage of the total families receiving assistance and working minimum wage jobs.


You might want to check your facts a little more before you even claim 4 children as the cut off. Welfare has a 5 year limit in most states and almost 80% of welfare recipients have 2 or fewer children. You seem to have an unrealistic view of what welfare really is.

So the police shot a man and that automatically means he had 10 kids with 4 different mothers and they are all on welfare and it is a rampant problem in the US of other men doing that as well. I googled it and can't find this story. But one anecdote doesn't make much of an argument about welfare. I can point to the anecdote of Oprah being on welfare and now paying more in taxes every year then you or I make.

So your basic argument seems to be if you are poor then you should not have sex. That doesn't seem to be a personal responsibility argument but one of you want to control other people.

You don't know the meaning of personal responsibility if this is your take on things.

What does personal responsibility mean then? You have already discounted Izzy pointing out we could supply condoms and sex education to help people prevent pregnancy. What is different about that and providing them with education in general?
