@Baldimo,
Maybe if those women in their twenties had had adequate sex education and access to free condoms there wouldn't be so many unwanted pregnancies.

@izzythepush,
As I said personal responsibility would do wonders for our world. Why are you so against personal responsibility and why are so you prone for others to pay for their mistakes?

@Baldimo,
Who is paying for their mistakes? You certainly aren't paying for their abortions. It is only when you side with those that want to ban abortion that you are putting yourself in the position of paying for their mistakes.

@parados,
Are you against personal responsibility? Why does it have to be either they get an abortion or we pay for the 150+ social welfare programs that our many federal and state agencies provide? Why can't it be a conversation about people having personal responsibility for their actions and decisions?

@Baldimo,
Because personal responsibility doesn't mean much to a 15 year old in and out of care all their lives.

You can moralise about the feckless poor whilst licking the rich man's arse all you want, but in the real world if we don't take collective responsibility we're all worse off. (Except for those, whose arses you insist on licking, of course.)

You are basing this argument on the age of a 15 year old when the FACTS I provided from the CDC tell you that a majority of women having abortions are in fact in their 20's, and not teenagers.

You mean me talking about personal responsibility is a rich mans thing? If you think that, then you are part of the problem.

@Baldimo,
It's all about moralising with you. You think that because you believe you took personal responsibility you can preach at a group of people who have not had your advantages.

If you want people to take more personal responsibility you have to equip them to do so. You advise doing the opposite, it's simplistic, and just does not work. The consequences are increased crime, urban decay, ghettoization and no go areas. Not more personal responsibility.

Then again, that's what you want, because you really need people to look down upon.

With a response like that, have you ever wondered why I don't usually respond to you? You attack for no reason other than you don't like what I have to say. Good day to you sir.

Head of pro-Rand Paul super PAC indicted in payment scheme
Source: Politico

A close confidant of Sen. Rand Paul was indicted Wednesday for an alleged conspiracy to bribe an Iowa state senator in 2011 to shift allegiances to Paul’s father, Ron, then a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination.

Jesse Benton, a longtime aide to the younger Paul who’s now helming a super PAC supporting the Kentucky Republican’s 2016 presidential bid, faces charges of conspiracy, obstructing an investigation, submitting false campaign finance reports to the Federal Election Commission and making false statements to the FBI. Two other operatives, John Tate and Dimitrios Kesari, also face charges connected to the alleged payoff.

A call to Benton’s cellphone revealed that his voicemail box was full. He did not immediately respond to an email request for comment.

Paul’s presidential campaign did not immediately respond to requests for comment. But another Benton client, Kentucky state Rep. Mike Harmon, said Benton called him Wednesday afternoon and told him Paul has his back.

@Baldimo,
So you are personally responsible for your own sociopathic outlook? Good to know.

Personal responsibility only goes so far. No one makes it completely on their own in this world. We all have help of some kind. Your point of view simply means those without family help are screwed. I prefer to help those that need a helping hand. It gives them the opportunity to become productive members of society. The majority of people that get help from social welfare programs are on them for a brief period of time when they were having difficulties. Your response seems to be, "let them live in the streets and let their children starve." We tried that quite some time ago. It really didn't work out that well.

Gosh, maybe you should look deeper into the numbers before you make such a fool out of yourself. The majority of women having abortions cost you nothing. They pay for the abortion. They are not on welfare. Take personal responsibility for your own ignorance, why don't you? Educate yourself.

@parados,
Why the subject change? We are talking about people taking personal responsibility for their own actions in regards to sexual activity?

Donnelly's campaign treasurer, Kathy Davis, resigns over Planned Parenthood vote
Source: Indianapolis Star

Kathy Davis, former Indiana lieutenant governor, has resigned as U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly's campaign treasurer because of his vote to defund Planned Parenthood.

Davis confirmed her reasonings for departing the campaign in an email Wednesday to the Indianapolis Star. She served in the volunteer role for four years.

"Yes, I have left my position as Treasurer for Senator Donnelly's campaign and yes, it is because of his vote to defund Planned Parenthood," Davis said in the email.

... Donnelly was one of only two Democrats to vote Monday for an unsuccessful effort to strip Planned Parenthood of the more than $500 million in federal funding it receives each year. Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia was the other Democrat.

@parados,
You are off the mark again, I wasn't talking about what an abortion costs as I know federal money can't be spent on abortions. Why are you twisting the subject off the track?

Prosecutors believed Scott Walker committed a felony while county executive
Source: Wisconsin State Journal

Prosecutors believed Gov. Scott Walker committed a felony when he served as Milwaukee County Executive for his role in negotiating a lease extension for county office space and a cleaning service contract, a Wednesday court filing shows.

Walker was never charged with a crime, and has long said he was never a target of the 2011 John Doe investigation into his county office.

On Wednesday prosecutors filed into the court record a 2011 request for a search warrant that was part of the investigation. The Wednesday filing in federal court came in response to a lawsuit brought against the prosecutors, including Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm assistant district attorneys Bruce Landgraf and David Robles, by Walker aide Cindy Archer, who also was under investigation.

They wrote in the search warrant request that there was probable cause to believe Walker, Friends of Scott Walker campaign treasurer John Hiller and real estate broker Andrew Jensen together violated state public office misconduct laws in 2010.
