@oralloy,
That's true today, since Trump is in fact I n Europe, not the White House.

I agree with those, like Sen. Warner,

That would be the Senator in contact with what we call an Russia oligarch during the election in 2016, that one?

So, you are saying Trump is the only one in his administration working with the Russians?

@TheCobbler,
It's not breaking news, it's about 3 days old.

In a nutshell.

Last Friday May announced that from now on cabinet will present a unified approach to Brexit and there will be no more dissent.

On Monday David Davis resigned saying that Friday's approach is too soft followed by Johnson the next day.

Basically the hard brexiteers want May to either change policy or resign. Nothing will happen because they don't have the numbers.

Trump has further muddied the waters by criticising May's policy and praising Johnson only to do a volte face and claim 'fake news' even though it's all on tape.

@Blickers,
One of Putin's favorite fake news stories is how Hillary had 10 people murdered. Hillary has never murdered anyone and the lack of embassy funding was due to republican cuts not democrat cuts to our foreign embassies.

... and who was really responsible for Benghazi?

Jason Chaffetz Admits House GOP Cut Funding For Embassy Security: ‘You Have To Prioritize Things’
https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/10/jason-chaffetz-embassy_n_1954912.html

Here’s a list of Putin critics who've ended up dead
http://www.businessinsider.com/list-of-people-putin-is-suspected-of-assassinating-2016-3

Here are 9 (that we know of) that Putin is suspected of assassinating. (Including blowing up an entire apartment block.)

Thou shalt not murder...

The religious right GOP has no problem aligning themselves with murderers?

The GOP covet the NRA, they caused Benghazi by cutting security funding and the school shootings of children are the fault of the GOP also due to their failure to protect the public from rampant gun proliferation.

Now who really are the murderers? The truth please...

@izzythepush,
So May is being criticized by her own party for trying to walk back Brexit?

If so, you can be sure Putin has his hands in this fiasco.

I think the entire Brexit vote was fixed by the Russians... just like the election of Trump.

The Left has no problems aligning with Islam, a religion that kills gays and Christians. Is there a difference you would like to point out?

No one in the White House is taking orders from a foreign leader.
And yet all of Trump's statements and positions coincide exactly with Putin's main foreign policy objectives, which is to break up well-functioning Western economic alliances, (EU) and military alliances, (NATO), so that they won't be able to present an effective unified response when Russia moves to take over Eastern Europe.

Trump's been s**t-talking NATO and the EU since he started running for president.

And how do we know Trump's not taking orders, direct or relayed, from Putin?

As soon as he took office, Trump's people have been caught twice trying to set up secret back channel communications with Russia. Jared got caught doing it once, and Eric Prince, leader of Blackwater, was caught doing it in a meeting with Russians in the Seychelles.

In addition, to all of Trump's "Lock her up" rhetoric against Hillary for using her own Email server, Trump uses his own personal cell phone line to talk on. No special government protection at all, if a foreign power knows how to tap the cell phone of any Joe Sixpack out there, they can tap Trump's cell phone line using the same technology. So he could have been talking to Putin or a representative of Putin for over a year and nobody on our end would know about it.

Secret back channel communications being set up, American national security programs being bad-mouthed just like Russia would want-it all adds up.

Neil Farage, one of the leaders of the Brexit movement, was seen leaving the Ecuadoran Embassy where Julian Assange, the head of Wikileaks, is located. Wikileaks worked with the Russians to put out the purloined material from the Democratic National Committee on the internet. So it would appear that Brexit and Russia are intertwined.

I wouldn't be so sure of that.

Based on Trump's obvious reluctance to appropriately, and strongly, directly confront Putin about the election meddling, it seems likely Putin may well have info that compromises Trump and places Trump in a position to appease, or please, Putin for his own protection. That is disastrous for our national security because it makes him Putin's puppet..

@TheCobbler,
Putin definitely tried to affect the referendum but this particular fiasco is all Tory. Europe has been the big divider for decades it's why Cameron called the referendum in the first place, putting party over country, also v Tory.

Now the argument is over what sort of Brexit it will be, up until now nobody had a clue with different wings of the party giving different visions. Now May has given a vision the right of the party is not happy. Not all though, prominent Brexiteers Michael Gove and Liam Fox are sticking with May so Boris has no chance of mounting a leadership challenge. I doubt he'll even be able to get enough Tory MPs to sign the papers.

Over here the media was saying that Cameron actually wanted to stay in the EU, which was polling as popular, and just called the referendum anticipating that Leave would get smashed and the issue would be settled once and for all.

Could we---please--try to keep the focus on U.S. politics, or at least Trump, in keeping with the title of this thread.

That helps to keep it separate from the other active political thread which takes a broader global perspective.

There is enough transpiring in the U.S. politically., and with Trump, to keep this thread humming along nicely

Do you mean posting meme after meme and posting links that you probably do not read. Is that how we do it?

At the end of his second term.

And the Republicans are going to hold the White House for 20 years.

How do we know Obama wasn't born in Kenya? That birth certificate could have been forged.

I suppose your birth certificate was a forge too! LOL What Obama could not forge was that his birth was reported in the local newspaper. https://wikileaks.org/wiki/Obama_1961_birth_announcement_from_Honolulu_Advertiser
