Ask Trump and his gaggle of gangsters what they think should happen to asylum seekers and their children . Attempting to enter the US is a misdemeanor not a felony. But, what the hell, it might be a bonanza for Betsy DeVos's family who has a contract to house toddlers and infants charging the Tax Payers $700 a day per child. I figure the profiteers would be happy to keep these abducted children as long as possible. Cha ching.

As Firefly said, for those seeking asylum, (an estimated ¾ come from countries with mass violence), can be traced with ankle bracelets-no need for lockup. The parents and kids who are here for economic improvement and not asylum and got caught sneaking in can just be put on a military plane the next day and sent back-way, way cheaper than incarcerating them. The asylum seekers who don't make their case can have their ankle bracelets removed and put on a plane that day.

I really don't think Trump would object to the ankle bracelet idea much since The Donald had no problems sharing the dance floor at Studio 54 with Adnan Khashoggi, convicted arms dealer, during Trump's coke-and-sex party days, (which might or might not have ended yet).

It is clearly not necessary to put them in jail. So don't do it anymore. It's immoral, it's grotesque, it's right out of the 18th Century, and it's expensive as hell. So skip the jail term, put an ankle collar on the ones applying for asylum, and ship the non-asylum seekers home forthwith. Cheaper, better for everybody, and more humane. Although for many Trump supporters, the humanity of it will be a drawback.

See how easy that is?

Since our country is unwilling to help people fleeing for their lives and the lives of their children, perhaps another country will help protect these people......then the US can send the money they take from the taxpayers (Betsy DeVos's family's company charges $700 daily for these services per child) and share the expense with a more tolerant society that respects humanity......it would be a lot cheaper and a billion times more humane than the way we are treating them now. Just a thought.

The Trump Administration will prosecute all who illegally enter the US, will seek jail terms for all who are convicted, and will carry out whatever sentences the judges impose on the guilty.

So what's the desired option for the kids? Soylent Green wafers?

Take the kids to the edge of the Mexican desert, give them each half a canteen of water, and tell them all to start walking?
